The Ministry of Teni and Beti

Teni and Beti made a significant contribution to the spread of the Gospel in Gojjam and surrounding areas of Northern Ethiopia by completely devoting their youth to the Lord’s service through their song ministry, their solo music, as well as by founding and organizing choirs.

Ever since the Gospel was preached to their entire family by Pastor Tayechew Bere and W/ro Meseret Getahun—leading to their salvation alongside their mother, W/ro Tsemialesh Melese—they became true disciples of Christ. They spent their youth fearlessly worshipping and serving the Lord alongside believers of that era, enduring much persecution, insult, reproach, and marginalization. Since there were no church buildings at the time, believers met in private homes, and their mother's house served as a gathering place for the congregation and a house of God.

During that period, all Christians who endured persecution had their faith tested like gold. Even through these hardships, the Holy Spirit worked powerfully, and the Gospel spread in both urban and rural areas, as written in the Book of Acts. Throughout this church growth, Teni and Beti boldly served the Lord with their guitars—both as soloists and within choirs. Even after leaving the North, they continue to serve the Lord in Addis Ababa through song and various gifts granted to them by God.

Although their previously released songs did not reach many people, by God’s will and help, they have now completed a new album and presented it for the glory of God and the blessing of the saints. We believe that through their songs, God will transform, comfort, and build up people's lives.
