A Legacy of Faith and Revival: The Journey of Teni and Beti
Teni and Beti belong to the Tisemiyalesh Melesse family, who surrendered their lives fully to the ministry of the Lord from their youth. They played a foundational role in spreading the Gospel across the Gojjam region in northern Ethiopia. During a time when formal church buildings were nonexistent, their mother’s home served as a sanctuary for believers to gather and worship.
Their path was marked by intense persecution—facing severe beatings, homes pelted with stones, and constant public insults. Yet, this season coincided with a divine mandate given to Pastor Tayachew Bere to bring the Gospel to the region, triggering a historic revival. Miracles and wonders mirrored the Book of Acts: the Gospel spread like wildfire from town to town, and people traveled long distances to witness the power of God firsthand. Countless lives were set free from years of spiritual bondage, and nightly bonfires became common as new converts burned costumes and items once dedicated to demonic worship. Believers were deeply discipled, their faith refined like pure gold in the furnace of persecution.
"Guided by the Holy Spirit, they stood in countless places with their guitar, proclaiming the Good News through praise."
It was amidst this fiery revival that God began giving songs to Teni and Beti. Guided by the Holy Spirit, they stood in countless places with their guitar, proclaiming the Good News through praise. Though these anointed songs remained unheard by the broader body of Christ for many years, God's perfect timing has now arrived. Teni and Beti are currently finalizing their first full-length album. We hold firm faith that through these scripture-steeped songs, God will once again move powerfully, transforming lives and drawing hearts closer to Him.
